    About Bomberger’s Blended American Whiskey

Bomberger’s Blended Whiskey is crafted in the traditional Pennsylvania rye style, which is known for being sweeter and more robust than whiskies made elsewhere. The whiskey, which is blended from a high-rye bourbon and McKenzie Rye Whiskey (from Finger Lakes Distilling Co.), is aged for a minimum of two-and-a-half years.

The whiskey has beautiful aromas of candied orange and cherry, which lead to vanilla, caramel and baking spices on the palate. The whiskey finishes with hints of oak and citrus, enhanced by subtle tones of tobacco and leather.

    About Bomberger’s

The Bomberger’s Distillery legacy can be traced back to 1753, when two Swiss Mennonite farmers by the name of John and Michael Shenk began distilling rye whiskey on their farm near Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The distillery was passed down through relatives of the Shenk family until 1860 when the distillery was purchased (and subsequently renamed) by Pennsylvania Dutchman Adam Bomberger, who owned and operated the distillery until Prohibition forced its closing in 1919. At that time, Bomberger’s Distillery was the oldest operating distillery in the United States, and in many ways represented the transformation of whiskey distilling from an agricultural enterprise to a large-scale industrial one.

Today, Bomberger Distillery is recognized as a national landmark and is undergoing a whiskey-making renaissance thanks to the stewardship of Dick Stoll, Bomberger’s master distiller. Trained by Everett Beam himself, Stoll is the former master distiller of Pennsylvania Michter’s, where he created the famed A.H. Hirsch Bourbon. Eric Wolfe, a business partner, involved in the revitalization of the Bomberger’s brand, has said of Stoll, who is now in his 80s, “He knows so many things from doing this for decades, that he doesn’t even know what he knows.”

    About American Whiskey

There are two main representatives of the American whiskey family, bourbon, and rye, but some other spirits don’t fall into those two strictly regulated categories.

There’s equally strictly regulated American single malt, made from 100% malted barley, Tennessee whiskey, essentially bourbon filtered through maple charcoal and aged in new charred oak barrels.

And then there’s moonshine, a high proof (150- 170 proof) distilled spirit mainly made out of corn which gained popularity during the prohibition.

About Little Book Chapter 3: The Road Home Blended Whiskey

Eighth generation Beam family member Freddie Noe comes from a long line of legendary distillers. In 2017 he achieved his vision of making his own line of whiskey, launching Little Book Whiskey. With over 220 years of tradition on his shoulders, he had some pretty large shoes to fill.

Named in honor of the nickname Freddie’s grandfather Booker gave him: Little Book. This annual whiskey series features new, unique blends every year—his first batch of liquid gold was released in 2017 Little Book Chapter 1: The Easy Blended Straight Whiskey. Uncut, unfiltered and always one-of-a-kind, each small batch is a limited release, allowing Freddie innovate and explore the limitless potential of flavor.

Little Book Chapter 3 is the first Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey in the Little Book line from Freddie Noe. “The Road Home” references the road that I travel to and from on a regular basis, the same road my grandfather, Booker, traveled back when he used to work here at the distillery,” says Noe.

Little Book Chapter 3 is a blend of four barrel-strength Kentucky Straight Bourbon whiskeys, one from each brand of the original Small Batch Bourbon Collection created by Freddie Noe’s grandfather Booker Noe in the early 1990s. The limited-edition blend consists of a nine-year-old Knob Creek and Basil Hayden’s Bourbons, an 11-year-old Booker’s Bourbon and a 12-year-old Baker’s Bourbon.

“The four liquids that I chose to go into this batch of Little Book are from the original small batch collection that my grandfather, Booker, created,” says Noe. The eighth-generation distiller tinkered with 57 different recipes before landing on the final blend, recipe number 51: a palate loaded with complexity from the vanilla, wood and caramel notes from the Knob Creek and Booker’s Bourbons, balanced by the “spiciness” of Basil Hayden’s. The Baker’s Bourbon imparts a lingering, warm and sweet finish.

    About Old Carter

Founded by husband and wife Mark and Sherri Carter, Old Carter Whiskey Co. is focused on bringing super high-quality and unique small-batch straight rye and bourbon whiskeys to discerning drinkers. The couple started in the wine business, producing fine wine in the Napa Valley. The Carter Cellars Cabernets have garnered numerous awards and has led them towards whiskey.

Their whiskey journey started when they joined a friend from Kentucky in resurrecting the long-absent Kentucky Owl bourbon brand. By the time the brand was sold in 2017, the couple had grown too fond of the spirit to simply let go, diving straight into sourcing, producing, and blending whiskey in Kentucky. It’s a true hands-on family operation that enables them to cultivate their passionate love for whiskey and share it with the world.

    About Chattanooga Whiskey

Chattanooga Whiskey was founded by Tim Piersant and Joe Ledbetter in 2011. Inspired by the city’s rich distilling history, the two went on a mission to bring back “Whiskey to the People” and Hamilton County, and did not shy away from the battle to change the laws of their state in its pursuit. In March 2015, the company’s Experimental Distillery opened in the heart of downtown Chattanooga, which keeps over 100 different barrels in its aging cellar. In 2015, they released the first whiskey produced in Chattanooga in 100 years, Chattanooga Whiskey “100”, and began crafting their malt-forward style of straight bourbon whiskey, Tennessee High Malt, which was released in August 2019, marking a new era in the company history. In March 2017, the company opened its second distillery in downtown Chattanooga, the Riverfront Distillery, transforming a historic car dealership into one of the largest craft bourbon distilleries in the South, with a dunnage-style heated barrelhouse with room to age more than 4,500 barrels of whiskey. This is where the distillers make their signature Tennessee high malt.

Chattanooga Wh iskey’s range comprises three lines. Its signature line of straight bourbon whiskey, Tennessee High Malt, is made from four grains, including three select specialty malts. The 1816 Bourbon Series consists of award-winning bourbons that started it all, and Experimental Series is a limited collection of whiskeys and spirits made at the 100-gallon Experimental Distillery, utilizing a multitude of grains, barrels, techniques, and unique ingredients.

    About Smoke Wagon

The story of Nevada H & C Distilling Co. began in 2004 when the screenwriter Jonathan Hensleigh met co-founder Aaron Chepenik in a bar in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles. They quickly realized they had the same vision for opening a bar – The Griffin, together. After a couple of years of sampling their inventory, they began discussing what they liked and didn’t like about the bourbons and vodkas they were selling.

One night, the idea of creating their own spirits popped up, which eventually led to them opening the first distillery in the city of Las Vegas. The City Council had to create a license, especially for them since none existed beforehand. It took 6 years of gathering equipment and setting it up, with several hurdles along the way. The bright side was that by the time they opened their doors, they had several high-rye bourbons ready, which meant they could begin operating immedia tely.

They have two brands under their belt now, both with several medals from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition: Silver Dollar and Smoke Wagon.

    About Cascade Moon

Cascade Moon Editions is a new premium label of higher end whiskies, made at the Cascade Hollow Distilling Co., which famously produces George Dickel. The distillery was previously named George Dickel distillery after George A. Dickel who was born in a rural town in eastern Tennessee. By 1867, Dickel was an established Nashville merchant but moved his family to the city of Tullahoma (situated in south-central Tennessee), where he purchased the Cascade Hollow Distillery. After working tirelessly at the distillery, Dickel declared that his spirits were of equal quality to the finest scotch, and followed in the Scottish tradition of spelling whisky without an “e”.

While George A. Dickel Distillery was forced to close its doors as a result of Prohibition, it was rebuilt in 1958 by Master Distiller Ralph Dupps. To ensure the whisky’s authenticity, Dupps obtained the original manuscripts in which Dickel detailed his unique recipe and distillation processes. The distillery was closed again in the 1990’s due to the supply of George Dickel exceeding the demand – this allowed the value of whis ky to rebound and the distillery reopened its doors again in 2003. Today, the distillery is owned by Diageo.
