Jefferson’s Groth Reserve Cask Finish Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
$45.00 Availability: In StockAbout Jefferson’s Groth Reserve Cask Finish Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Jefferson’s Groth Reserve Cask Finish Bourbon Whiskey was first aged in new American oak barrels for approximately six years before being extra-matured in ex-Cabernet Sauvignon barrels from Groth Vineyards for an additional nine months. Groth Vineyards and Winery is a high-caliber producer out of California’s Napa Valley that is particularly well-known for its Cabernet Sauvignon, and these special barrels give Jefferson’s Groth Reserve Cask Finish Bourbon Whiskey its unique and robust characteristics. The whiskey has a starbright aroma of peaches, blackberries, caramel corn and toffee, which leads to a palate marked by burnt oak, red wine, cinnamon spice and dark and dried fruits. The finish is long and dry, with lasting notes of sweet tobacco, cornbread and baked apples. This release, which was released in the summer of 2015, is extremely limited. Pick up a bottle or two today! About Jefferson’s The principal author of the Declaration of Independence and one of the most illustrious founding fathers, Thomas Jefferson was elected the third President of the United States in 1800. During his tenure as President, Jefferson authorized the purchase of the Louisiana Territory, dispatched Lewis and Clark westward to explore the remainder of the continent, and repealed the Whiskey Excise Tax. After Jefferson retired from public office in 1815, he often tended to the garden that he had cultivated at his Monticello estate. At the time, it was customary for wealthy farmers, including Jefferson, to make their own garden spirits. Each farmer’s spirits were unique and reflected their personal tastes and the local terroir of their farm. Jefferson’s Reserve Very Old Straight Bourbon Whiskey is crafted by Chet and Trey Zoeller in honor of Jefferson and his experimental nature. While the Zoellers were inspired by Jefferson, their roots can be traced back for generations deep into Kentucky’s bourbon history. Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Brandy Cask Finish Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
$92.25 Availability: In StockAbout Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Brandy Cask Finish Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Finished in Brandy Casks is the eleventh and latest release in Woodford’s esteemed Master’s Collection series. The fully matured whiskey, which was personally developed by Morris, is finished in brandy casks for two years. This is the first whiskey to be aged in American brandy casks, which emphasize the rich flavors of dried fruit and nuts developed through Woodford’s grain selection and fermentation process. As a result, Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Finished in Brandy Casks has an aroma of chocolate, maple syrup, and dark dried fruits. The palate of toasted hazelnuts and toffee covered fruit is accented by wood and spicy notes, with a warming caramel finish. “As with every Master’s Collection release, this expression highlights Woodford Reserve’s creativity and dedication to innovation. I’m extremely proud to say we’ve yet again done something very special,” said Master Distiller Chris Morris. “Among Woodford Reserve’s many flavors include fruit and spice notes which the brandy casks emphasize. Both products showcase rich, intense vanilla notes from their barrel maturation making the combination of the two a true success.” Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Finished in Brandy Casks is a brand-new, limited edition whiskey, and we have only a small number of bottles available. Pick one up today! About Woodford Reserve The Woodford Reserve Distillery sits on what was once an old Distillery founded by Elijah and his son, Oscar Pepper, in the 1800s. Years later, under the stewardship of Oscar and Master Distiller James Crow, their distillery reformed and moder nized producing whiskey in the United States — the distillery revolutionized the concepts of sour mash and yeast propagation. Today, the distillery is among Kentucky’s oldest and smallest bourbon distilleries. Nestled in the heart of the Commonwealth’s thoroughbred country, it’s the only place you’ll find bourbon and horses maturing side by side. It’s also one of a handful of spirits companies in the world to own a cooperage and craft its barrels, allowing for ultimate precision when creating exact toast and char specifications.
