A tribute to Bob Dylan’s famous “Bootleg Series” of albums, this 25 YO whiskey this 2019 edition of the Bootleg Series achieves a distinctive character profile through a secondary aging in Mizunara Oak barrels. The result is a distinctive and supple flavor. Bottled at 111.5, the low rye content of the mashbill delivers signature flavors from the Mizunara Oak barrels to shine through, with a smooth, long finish.

Launched in 2018, Heaven’s Door Whiskey is a collaboration between Industry veteran Marc Bushala and Master Blender Ryan Perry who teamed up with music icon Bob Dylan. This expression is the product of a partnership with Redbreast Irish Whiskey, marking the first time that the two brands collaborate. Crafted by Master Blenders Ryan Perry and Redbreast’s Billy Leighton, it brings together the worlds of Irish and American whiskey. There are two main representatives of the American whiskey family, bourbon, and rye, but some other spirits don’t fall into those two strictly regulated categories.
There’s equally strictly regulated American single malt, made from 100% malted barley, Tennessee whiskey, essentially bourbon filtered through maple charcoal and aged in new charred oak barrels.
And then there’s moonshine, a high proof (150- 170 proof) distilled spirit mainly made out of corn which gained popularity during the prohibition.

Made of 84% Corn, 8% Rye, and 8% Barley, aged for 14 years before being finished in Caribbean Rum casks, this Bourbon has a uniquely complex flavor profile that is combining tropical fruits with more traditional oak flavors. Additional character is provided at bottling: being bottled at cask strength, this Bourbon preserves its full flavor. Their Bootleg Series takes its name from Dylan’s official Bootleg Series of albums, the artist being widely recognized as one of the most bootlegged in the history of the genre. Taking craft whiskey to a new level, the series consists of “unique and unreleased whiskeys, including special blends, barrel finishes and rare stocks”. Adorned with Dylan’s paintings, the hand-crafted bottles come with an exquisite leather case. The first release was a 26-year-old whiskey that was finished in Mizunara oak barrels, while the 2020 edition is a 15-year-old straight bourbon that was finished in Jamaican pot-still rum barrels. Bottled at cask strength, this 104.6-proof whiskey is rich with a tamed sweetness and incredible complexity that is brought on by the casks that used to hold very old rum.
